Your TV-B-Gone® universal remote control resembles other TV remote controls, but is different in two important ways. First, it only has a power button that allows you to switch a TV on or off. You control when you see, rather than what you see. Second, the device is so small that it easily fits in your pocket, so that you have it handy whenever you need it wherever you go: airports, bars, restaurants, Laundromats, etc. "You can use TV-B-Gone® to control access to television for philosophical or practical reasons, or simply to have fun!" TV-B-Gone® now features the Instant Reactivation Feature which allows you to turn TVs on or off quickly and easily. TV-B-Gone® is a type of Universal Remote Control which works by shining pulses of invisible light that tells most any TV to turn off or on.
How It Works:.
We sell the North American and Asian model of the TV-B-Gone. It works for televisions in US, Canada, Mexico, as well as many Asian countries (may also work in other countries that use NTSC video). Tips on effective use of your TV-B-Gone It may take up to 69 seconds for the television to turn off, but most TVs will turn off within the first few seconds. Although we tried our best to make your TV-B-Gone remote control turn off any and all TV's, there may be some few that it won't turn off. Instant Reactivation Feature: This new feature allows you to press the button at any time to RESTART transmission of all of its infrared codes. Since the codes for the most popular TVs are closest to the beginning of the sequence, you can shut off more TVs faster, without waiting the full 69 seconds, as with the original version. Bigger Battery: Another new feature is that it has a bigger battery, allowing it to last even longer than the original model. Battery Life: Up to one year. Flashing LED: This light inside of the unit indicates that your TV-B-Gone is sending out its signal. (If you don't want the flashing LED on, simply double-click at the beginning of a new sequence.) The small, clear emitter node at the front will not light up or glow – actually, it does light up with infrared light but you can't see it!
